I’m Frieder, a designer from the south of Germany, now living in the rugged north of Scotland. As a product designer turned UX/UI designer I love making things no matter which side of the screen the resulting product ends up on.
Growing up in a creative environment, creative thinking has been an important part of my life. It lead me into product design studies in Coburg where I learned the skills needed to turn ideas into useful things. Following a Masters of Design in Potsdam I worked at Greissing Design as a product and visual designer. After co-founding HarriHarri in 2019, a creative collective for digital and landscape design, I fell in love with digital design and communication and knew this was the direction I wanted to go.
Last year I completed a 6-month intensive course in User Experience Design at CareerFoundry where I refined my skills in user research, prototyping, and pixel-perfect screen design. I currently work for Design and Code as a digital designer but am always looking to get involved in new and exciting projects on the side.
I like to do other stuff as well when not at my computer like taking pictures of mountains, lighthouses, bothies, or for Moya Birchbark. I also make a mean pizza dough and cycle to the office to work it off.
